Two ambient slots hold sounds that loop continuously and uninterrupted for the whole set — no restarts, no fades between anything. The first slot also sets the length of the whole piece by default: drop a sound in and the set becomes exactly as long as it is, shown as an editable number right on that slot. Tap the time at the top to override it by hand at any point.
Below that are two lanes. RND holds a pool of sounds — arm one in the library and tap the RND bar to add it — and scatters them across the timeline at random, reshuffling automatically every time the set loops (or tap "shuffle" to reroll instantly). The ×N button sets how many times each pooled sound gets placed. MAN is for precise placement: arm a sound (it stays armed, so you can tap several spots in a row), then tap exactly where you want it on the timeline. Tap a MAN marker to remove it; remove a pool sound from RND with the ✕ on its chip.
Touch and hold — or hover with a mouse — on any RND marker to see which sound it is without removing it. On MAN, a quick tap removes a marker; holding one opens a small editor where you can set it to repeat every 0.5–4 seconds instead of playing just once — that's how to build an actual steady part, like a bassline or pulse, rather than a single hit. Pinch on the MAN timeline to zoom in for precise placement; a "1:1" button appears to snap back out.
To make it sound like a band rather than a line of sounds: give one or two MAN sounds a short repeat (say 1–2s) as your rhythmic backbone, let RND scatter texture on top, and keep the ambient beds underneath. Layers, not a sequence.
Each sound in the library has a small ▶ to preview it instantly.
Hold a sound in the library to rename, mute, or delete it.
Everything loops once it reaches the end — toggle ↻ off if you want it to just play through once.
The M next to play is a mute toggle — silences output instantly without stopping anything underneath. The set keeps running exactly on schedule while muted, so unmuting drops you back in wherever it would already be, in sync — unlike stop, which resets your place.
If sound ever stops working entirely — before a show, always worth a real test first — tap FIX in the header. It forces the audio engine back to full volume and re-runs the iPhone silent-mode workaround, no page reload needed.
Your set autosaves in this browser. Use ☰ to export a backup, bounce the whole thing to a .wav, or start over.
No sound? On iPhone, check the physical mute switch — silent mode blocks web audio outright — and reconnect Bluetooth if you've just recorded something, since iOS sometimes bounces output back to the built-in speaker after using the mic.
